Caribbean Peacock (Anartia chrysopelea [Godart])

Wing span: 2 7/16 - 2 15/16 inches (6.2 - 7.4 cm).

Identification: Brown with a white median band or patches. Outer margins of the wings are scalloped and the hindwing has a small tail.

Life history: Not reported.

Flight: January through September in Cuba.

Caterpillar hosts: Lippia.

Habitat: Disturbed scrubland.

Range: Cuba with one stray from the Florida Keys.
