Canadian St. Johnswort (Hypericum canadense)

Identification: Flowers yellow, small (about 0.25 inches in diameter), with 5 petals, located on a series of branches near the top of the plant. Stem branched. Leaves narrow and elongate. Plant 6 to 20 inches in height.

Distribution: Tthroughout eastern North America.

Habitat: Canadian St. Johnswort is found on a variety of wet soils.

Flowering period: July to September.
