Yellow Cress (Rorippa palustris)

Identification: Flowers small, yellow, in terminal clusters. Seed pods short and dumpy, usually constricted in the middle and projecting perpendicularly from the stem. Leaves lobed with several pairs of opposite leaf segments, each coarsely toothed. Plant 1 to 2 feet in height.

Distribution: Throughout North America, and Europe and northern Asia in the Old World.

Habitat: Yellow Cress is found in wet habitats, particularly along the banks of rivers and lakes.
