Pennsylvania Bittercress (Cardamine pensylvanica)

Identification: Flowers white, tiny (about 1/16 inch). Seed pods elongate, narrow, without a distinct apical beak. Basal and middle leaves elongate, deeply lobed, apical lobe broader than the lateral pairs of lobes. Plant 0.75 to 2 feet in height.

Distribution: Throughout most of North America.

Habitat: Pennsylvania Bittercress is commonly found on wet ground as well as along roadsides near woods.

Flowering Period: April to June.
