Golden Corydalis (Corydalis aurea)

Identification: Flowers yellow, elongate with a long, single, down-curved spur. Petals not upturned or dentate. Leaves much divided, but arranged in groups of three leaflets. Plant about 8 to 16 inches in height.

Distribution: Across Canada and throughout the western and central United Sttates. In the east occurs from Minnesota in the west to New England in the east, southward to Illinois and Pennsylvania.

Habitat: Golden Corydalis is found on rocky or sandy soils along lake or ponds or in open woods.

Flowering period: May to June.
