Rabbit's-foot Clover (Trifolium arvense L.)

Alien: Native of Europe.

Identification: Flowers gray-pink arranged in a soft and fuzzy, cloverlike head. Seedpods with barbed spines. Leafs with 3 leaflets, each leaflet elongate and narrow. Plant 4 to 16 inches in height.

Distribution: Throughout most of North America.

Habitat: Rabbit's-foot Clover is a species of disturbed habitats such as roadsides, fields, and empty lots.

Flowering period: May to October.

Similar Species: The soft and fuzzy cloverlike gray-pink flower heads are unmistakable.
