Tarache idella (Barnes)

Cerathosia idella Barnes, 1905, Canad. Ent., 37:193.

Diagnosis: Tarache idella is a highly distinctive species formerly placed in its own genus Hemispragueia. The forewing color is a orange-tinted yellow with a myriad of vertial black lines and dashes. A bright, pure orange spot occurs at the apex of the forewing. The hindwing is completely suffused with orange. Forewing length from base to apex in one selected individual 10 mm.

Distribution: (Based only on specimens in the USNM) Tarache idella is only known from southeastern Arizona.
